We provide our partners with growth engineering processes focusing on the student/ job seeker as the end-user as an integral part of the solution.
The education system needs to develop effective, high profile (T)VET and work- based learning programs to respond to the current and future global labor market.
The effects of COVID-19 on education have reminded us that quality of education/ skills development opportunities should remain a top priority on the SDG global agenda. Over half of teenagers in developing countries are unable to read and write a simple text while the future of work requires for increasingly advanced skills. However, education and training systems are lagging across the world but especially in low-income countries, continued antiquated education systems will threaten the livelihoods of millions further exacerbating social and economic inequalities between high- and low-income countries. Education is the key for developing countries to enhance workforce productivity and efficiency leading to increased competitiveness and job creation.
How do we create more jobs?
The existing mismatch between education and labor market can only be solved through concerted efforts between government agencies, private sector, education institutions and civil society.
We support our partners with solving for complex problems in the education system by addressing three gaps across our areas of focus:
TVET as a solution for jobs crisis among youth
Showcasing Vocational Centers of Excellence with accredited programs
Introducing education- and training reforms through new partnership- and funding models
Understand private sector needs and create private sector engagement in skills development
